The staff (Yuri and Jim) we're old school professional, very helpful, attentive, and nice. The food was amazing. Reservations are available through open table, and apparently necessary -- the walk in wait was over an hour at 5:30, and longer when we finished. They have a really nice "Hanover Discount" if you are attending the theater before or after your meal. And, knowing we we're celebrating our Anniversary, we received a special dessert. It was a great meal, highly recommended.
I was in the Worcester area for a two day business training. I wanted some good seafood and Google searched the area. This restaurant was the obvious choice to go to. I was not disappointed. I ordered the Bang Bang shrimp as an appetizer and it was fantastic. It arrived very hot and fresh and flavorful. The salad was very fresh and the peppercorn dressing was fantastic. For my entree, I ordered the Rainbow Trout with mashed potatoes and cauliflower. The trout was well grilled and very most and flavorful. The potatoes had a wonderful creamy texture and flavor. And the grilled cauliflower was fresh and grilled perfectly. I declined the dessert due to being too full. I did opt for a cup of coffee which arrived very hot and was delicious. The servers were very attentive and professional also. I highly recommend this restaurant of you're looking for a fresh seafood meal.
Absolutely love this place. It's my go-to place over the past 20 years or more when going out for any type of seafood or just great tasting food. I truly enjoy the bar menu and atmosphere. You're always treated Special by the hostesses, managers and the 2 wait staff assigned to your table. This week I brought my elderly relatives in from Barre. The building is very handicap accessible. We sat in the bar section, they have one special table that's very low. We enjoyed and shared fried oysters, onion rings, Lobster sliders and the fresh green pear and walnut salad. For dessert we had Apple brown Betty and the black bottom Oreo cookie cake that featured chocolate raspberry ice cream. Absolutely scrumptious! Highly recommend!
My absolute first choice for lunch in the WOO. Always an excellent meal, fresh and delicious. The staff are helpful, cheerful and attentive. If you need to be in and out in an hour, that can and does happen. Also, no pressure to leave if you want to linger and talk after you are done eating. If you are looking for a place after work - check out the bar for reduced priced appetizers, lots of sushi options, and other tasty treats! The bartenders are friendly and attentive.
Everything started out great. We were greeted as soon as we walked through the door and seated. The server came immediately. Appetizer was served quickly and was delicious. Main course was also great and promptly served. Then service went south. My wife asked for additional lemon and got about 10 minutes later. I got to the bottom of my delicious meal and had no bread to sop up the juice, I assumed they didn't serve bread until I saw a different waiter deliver it to another table. I was prepared to order a dessert but no waiters were to be found. It took 10 minutes for the person at the next table to get his dessert, so I opted not to wait. We asked for the bill and a doggy bag. The bill came with a double charge for my appetizer. That got fixed and a reminder for the doggy bag. No doggy bag wrapped it up in napkins and left. It appeared that there was a mercy meal in another area, but no excuse for us was satisfactory.
