Extremely unprofessional & overpriced. Education is great but all other aspects of the "college experience" are not found here. Becker College is the #5 gaming school in the world yet the wifi does not work and actually affected the hardware of my computer. I now have to buy a new laptop due to the damage caused by the software the school required each student to download. The sad part is students were charged an extra $1,000 this year for a "technology fee" and the wifi has been worse than ever . This school is extremely inconvenient in more ways than one. I am a junior here now, & I would not recommend anyone to waste their money on this college. There are far better options in where you can recieve higher education .
I graduated from here in 2009 with an associates degree. I owe my degree to most of my success, as I wouldn't be anywhere close to where I am now with out it. What I like most about Becker was all of my professors, classes, and what I was able to learn. The only thing I suggest if you are considering this college is to live off of campus as living there is $10,000.00/ a year. I would also suggest taking all prereqs at a community college.
College League of Legends Team was an absolute joke , we picked 5 ADC"s and trashed their LCS comp. bots. smh
Wondering if Becker College believes in Academic Honesty. Reputations at colleges and universities are made or broken on that. However, Becker claims it was founded in 1784. That is absurd when one considers that all Becker did was buy a former school property and usurp the date of the defunct school's founding -- despite the fact that the old school had been defunct for 50 years! My experience has been a good one when visiting campus, but my impression of the school is diminished by the fact it fails to correct the record. Not very academic in my opinion. 1887 should be the corrected year.
The teachers are great, but the food is terrible. My roommate and I had a broken fridge for a month and nobody wanted to fix it, which means maintanace is bad. Becker does not have a social atmosphere. The people are disgusting. It is definitely not worth the cost of the tuition.I transferred after my first semester.
