Abyssmal quality. I showed up at 12AM 9/12/17. The wait to be "seen" was about average. However upon following the nurse I was directed to a bed where I laid for 2 1-2 hours before I even had so much as an acknowledgement that I was a patient.
If your pregnancy goes well that is fine. Don't come here alone or get a section here. Don't have complications. Some of these people have no bedside manner and should not work with mother's and new norms. I am glad I was with my wife and would not return to the hospital.
I highly recommend...!
The emergency department at this Hospital in 2015 and 2016 were terrible. There's zero compassion for people in pain and anxiety. The triage abuses medical records and the resident surgeons suck. They don't care because to them you are just an experiment so they can pass medical school and move on and thinks they're Gods. I almost died from septic shock twice. The second surgery they almost lost me on the table because the anesthesiologist involved didn't know how to properly sedate me. They refused me medications that were helpful to me making it difficult to deal with pain. The worst part is they loaded me up with opioids and sent me home with opioids telling me that the dose was not high enough to become addicted to. I don't like the feeling opioid brings. Pain is necessary because it tells you that something is wrong. They overmedicated me with four different opiates within a week and when I checked back with medical assistant at a nearby Clinic I was told there's no way I would have become addicted within a week. It is b******* because when I got home I thought that I was going to die when I took Dilaudid. So I stopped at cold turkey and went through 3 days of absolute hell. I was fortunate enough to be at home but recovering from the surgery took me more than a year. They are negligent. The only surgeon there that deserves any credibility for his hard work is named doctor Tom Tomczyk. He bust his ass to help people and is kind and compassionate and cared. The general surgeon lie to me about my condition because he needs to go back and study pathophysiology. A condition called hidradenitis suppurativa or more simply stated acne inversa was causing the problem that I had which was excessively painful. He prescribed a medication a compound to help me recover. The general surgeon just told me to do sitz baths and keep the wounds clean and that I probably develop a fistula that might require further surgery. Well guess what I healed it on my own and if anyone is interested on how to do that I would be willing to share it at no cost. It's called alternative medicine. Patients have the right under bioethics to make informed decisions about their health and try alternate forms of treatment. My fistula healed. My formula for the condition healed and I was able to avoid surgery for a third time. He took the time to listen and I promised I would give the list of medications that were helpful to me. All I ask in advance is to be given a chance to develop the compound myself. It is ridiculous to have to spend $60 on a tube of Vaseline with a heart medication. Cutting people open and doing routine surgeries have crippled people and disabled people who are trying to get healthy. The whole pharmaceutical industry along with the crooked administrators of the hospital should be ashamed of themselves
My cardiologist was very caring and did a great job of fixing my heart. I'm now in recovery and the nurse staffs are wonderful.
This place is not concerned over your well being. The nurses act friendly but they do not convey messages at all.
The lady in the maternity ward next to me had a C section and had no one to help with the new baby and the nurses on the day shift where really nice to her. However I noticed at night and as the days went on they yelled at her because she could not take care of her baby. I don't want to sound racist but I noticed that it was any one with a foreign, African, Indian and Some Spanish accents yelling at her.
Note that at 6PM I was FINALLY allowed to eat. BUT I was informed that the Gynecologist whom I'm been starving myself for all day has went home....
This hospital left me starving for more than 18 hours for a doctor and a test that never even showed up. I was literally begging them to let me eat food.
After some tests were done it was decided I would have to see a gynecologist. At this point I explained how I work night and I usually eat dinner around 3AM. However the staff refused to feed me nor let me have any fluids. So fast forward 8 hours and I'm wondering where the gynecologist is since I am literally starving at this point.
I had an unexpected exacerbation after a routine procedure which resulted in my being admitted to the Pulmonary Care Unit for two days. I was very impressed with the care I received. The Nurses and Doctors were excellent. The nurses and support staff were genuinely personable supportive and caring. I felt comfortable and was confident that I was receiving excellent treatment.
