So ive been walking doing a bit of jogging and overall just trying to improve my health. This is a great park, relaxing, Beautiful and very nice. even in the colder weather i enjoy the park. Great job City of Worcester

Nice place for the kids. I like.

Nice little lake shore park. Right off Rt. 9. Small sand beach area seemed man-made but kids were having good fun. Parking is flat 8$ for Massachusetts plate. They have rentals for kayaks, paddle boards etc.

Mike's Rant of the Day: I live right down the street from the lake, within walking distance. But Worcester city - the largest city in New England after Boston - charges an $8 parking fee to access the river, and has a fence around the length of it so that no one can walk in and enjoy the lake; you have to drive in, and pay the parking fee. It's simply outrageous. The great cities that have lakes or rivers run through them, those rivers tend to be accessible to everyone who lives there - and it's *the* place to be. Think of Paris, with the Seine River, or most European and Asian cities. I lived in Metz, France, and in Nanjing and Hangzhou, China, both with great rivers, and used to walk along them every night; but that's impossible here in Worcester. I mean, Paris didn't put a fence around the Seine River and make you pay a parking fee. Most American cities just don't know what to do with its lakes and rivers; it has no idea how to make cities livable, with a high quality of life for everyone to enjoy. Who can afford to pay $8 every day just to walk along the water? Tragic.

Did kayaking multiple times here , nice lake , parking is 8$ which is high as not much to explore but good sailing point within reach
