The people here were friendly, and the food was very good. I really loved the yams! It looked empty inside, but don't let that turn you away. If you are missing food from the south, this is a good place to visit.
I'm vegetarian, so Friday(they serve fish) is my favorite day to visit, but the smell of their bbq sauce makes me want to lick a chicken wing... The food is so good and the staff is friendly...
So good! I love the simplicity of this place and menu contrasted with the quality and taste of the food. I ordered the pork ribs with a side of cabbage. Each meal automatically comes with your choice of yellow rice or white rice and corn bread...and just WOW. The pork ribs were cooked to perfection - fell off the bone and not too smothered in bbq sauce. Rice and cabbage were simple, but tasty. And the corn bread was near perfect - soft and moist on the inside and just a little crispy on the outside. The workers are super friendly and the service is fast. I came here for a work lunch and we got our food within 10 minutes.
Came for supper before a show at the Hanover... looked up places on google and Addie Lee's was right around the corner... nice portioned plates.. not over filled plate nor to little. I ordered BBQ bed ribs..delish, BIG and just the right amount of sauce on it! Excellent blacked eyed peas & collard greens. Friendly people and great pricing... oh and real good music play!
